Speaker Lori Mohr will explore how the aftermath of the Franco-Prussian War shaped the rise of Impressionism, offering insight into the cultural and social forces that influenced artists of the time. Presented by the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in collaboration with the Carpinteria Community Library, this talk also provides background for the Museum’s upcoming exhibition, The Revolution of Impressionism: Monet to Matisse.
