Akins and William J. Bauer\, Jr. authors of  We are the Land: A History of Native California. They will discuss their award-winning book focused on the lives and legacies of the Native people who have shaped California. With more than 110 Federally recognized Tribal Nations in California\, this is a rich history. Join us for the book talk and discussion afterward. The event will be from 4:00-5:30pm. Free and open to all.
