SUMMARY:Free Computer Basics Class
DESCRIPTION:On August 12th\, we’ll kick off a six-week Computer Basics class for those who are afraid to work on a computer due to fear of breaking it.\nIf you answer NO to the following questions\, then the class is for you:\n\nDo you know how to connect a computer to Wi-Fi or the internet?\nAre you comfortable using the internet to fill out online forms\, such as to set up an appointment or apply for a job?\nDo you know how to locate the display\, volume\, printer\, and other settings on a computer?\nDo you know how to log into your email using a computer (not your phone)?\nAre you comfortable sending and receiving email?\n\nDuring the course\, training in all of these areas will be provided\, and participants will receive a new Chromebook.\n\nDATES: August 12- September 23\, 2024\nDAYS/TIMES: Mondays & Wednesdays 4-6 p.m.\nLOCATION: Carpinteria Community Library\, 5141 Carpinteria Ave\, Carpinteria\nREGISTER: Contact Alondra Rodriguez at (805) 964-4710 ext. 4401\, call or text (805) 724-0447 or email partners@sbceo.org to get started.
