Forum: I Am Carpinteria

“I Am Carpinteria” is part of the Carp Reads program, showcasing the book “Solito” by Javier Zamora, available at the Carpinteria Community Library. This powerful memoir delves into the themes of immigration and the author’s personal journey from El Salvador to the United States at the age of nine. At this event, we will hear from beloved Carpinteria community members, who are also immigrants, as they share their stories of coming to the United States. This event is proudly presented in collaboration with the Alcazar, and Spanish translation services will be available at the theater. Join us for an evening of inspiration and connection as we come together to celebrate the diverse voices of our community.
