“Sharks can smell blood from a mile away!” and Other Shark Misconceptions Debunked

The Carpinteria Community Library starts a new ongoing series called “Wild Things”. On the first Thursday of each month, there will be a free lecture on the natural environment in our backyard including local flora and fauna, natural history, or geology. Kicking things off on March 7 at 6:00pm, the local Carpinteria State Park interpreter Christina Furio will talk about sharks. “Sharks Can Smell Blood From a Mile Away!” and Other Shark Misconceptions Debunked is the title of her presentation.
