We are the Land: A History of Native California

On Wednesday, November 16, the Carpinteria Community Library will be hosting a virtual event in the Community Room. The online event will feature historians Damon B. Akins and William J. Bauer, Jr. authors of  We are the Land: A History of Native California. They will discuss their award-winning book focused on the lives and legacies of the Native people who have shaped California. With more than 110 Federally recognized Tribal Nations in California, this is a rich history. Join us for the book talk and discussion afterward. The event will be from 4:00-5:30pm. Free and open to all.
