Carpinteria Writers’ Group

The Carpinteria Writers Group has been in existence for nearly twenty years. Membership is free and open to the public. Poets, novelists,  bloggers, nonfiction writers, short story writers as well as people working on their memoirs are all welcome. Some members are published, others wish to be, and some write for their own amusement or to pass on their history to family members.

Those who want to read may do so, their time limited only by the number of other members wishing to read. The group members can then comment on the pieces. Support and helpful suggestions are the only welcome feedback.

The Writers’ Group meets weekly, every Tuesday from 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM.

Spanish Language Conversation Group

Want to improve your Spanish speaking skills and know more about Hispanic culture? Join the Spanish language conversation group!
The conversation group meets weekly, every Tuesday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
In these free events, we will practice speaking Spanish in a fun, friendly group. Eric, our Community Outreach Librarian, will lead the group in conversation.

This group is open to intermediate and advanced levels! Spanish speakers looking to engage in friendly conversation with other Spanish speakers are also welcome. If you have any questions or would like to sign up, please call 805.684.4314.
